Company Policy

The policy of Hillcroft Nursing Homes is to place a strong emphasis on providing the highest quality service possible for all our residents. We believe that no matter how good our present service there is always room for improvement and our homes have been awarded ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance accreditation giving formal recognition of the quality of care given to our residents.

We believe that having the highest quality care and accommodation is an absolute right of every resident. Our continuing aim is to provide a professional and efficient service to meet all the requirements of our users and our long term goal is to obtain the highest possible level of satisfaction from residents and relatives.

Our Aims

  • The home should present a relaxed, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
  • The privacy and dignity of residents is to be respected at all times.
  • Residents should always be treated with respect.
  • lndividual residents should always be treated as a whole person with unique needs, wants, skills and experiences.
  • Residents should be able to exercise real choice.
  • The home is run for the benefit of our residents and not for the benefit of the staff
  • lnteraction with residents should always be at an adult level and never patronising or belittling.
  • The views and opinions of residents are all important in the day to day running of the home which is best seen as a partnership between the staff and the residents.
  • Residents should be treated in such a way as to maximise their independence for as long as possible

Staff

All Qualified Nurses at Hillcroft Homes have a current PIN from the NMC and are 1st and 2nd level.

All Care Assistants/ancillary kitchen Staff have gained or are in the process of gaining NVQ’s

All Staff are given ongoing training in statutory and mandatory courses ie Fire, Health and Safety, Moving and Handling etc.

All homes have a consultant Dietician
