Throstle Grove - Slyne with Hest, Lancaster
My home is a purpose built nursing home located in Slyne-with-Hest, situated within easy reach of Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth and surrounding areas on a main bus route.
We are a 36 bedded home split into two units providing 24hour nursing care. One unit is for frail elderly and consists of 16 beds and the other is a 20 bedded EMI unit. My team of dedicated nurses and carers are committed to quality and providing a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere at all times. All the staff are trained to the highest standards and updated on a regular basis.
Our rooms are single and en-suite and all have views overlooking the large surrounding gardens. We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms with photographs and personal mementos to create a homely environment. Staff encourage residents to take part in the wide range of and to continue with their own hobbies and interests as well as taking them on outings.
We also work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team e.g. GPs, chiropodist, dentist and optician who visit when required. If you require more information and to look around, I would be happy to meet with you at any time and discuss your needs.
